What’s Included in the Living Active Method?

The Living Active Method journey is an immersive online learning experience in which you gain the principles, methods, and content of CIC’s Living Active Method. In partnership with our training platform host, Rali, we have created a self-guided and engaging platform that is highly adaptable to meet your own ministry’s needs.

Learn - Do - Inspire

The scrolling image on the right shows the various LEARN, DO, and INSPIRE training Tiles that are specifically curated to guide you as you learn the Living Active Method.

  • LEARN Tiles offer educational materials including teaching concepts and principles, training videos, interactive activities, and journaling prompts.

  • DO Tiles give the learners the opportunity to put what they are learning into practice in community, and within their local context. Each DO Activity ends with reflection questions that help learners to think critically about the principles and methods that they are learning.

  • INSPIRE Tiles allow the learners to share their reflections, experience, and insights with their broader learning team, and be inspired by what others have shared.

Measure Your Impact

The Living Active Method’s Ministry Impact Tool can help you discern the true spiritual depth of the children and youth in your ministry, and highlight potential areas for growth. Poll questions placed throughout the journey will also help you to gauge specific ways in which you can strengthen your ministry’s impact.

Additionally, your learning experience with the Living Active Method will include discussion boards and a digital learning network where learners can post comments, ask questions, and share what the Holy Spirit is revealing to them in real time as they continue in their journey.

Learn at Your Own Pace, Together

  • Individual Learning: Individuals who want to learn the Living Active Method on their own will join CIC’s General LAM Learning Team. You can share your experience with others if you wish, and apply what you are learning in your family, your neighborhood, your local children's ministry, and more!

  • Local Team Based Learning: Members of a local ministry team can sign-up for the Living Active Method Journey together to form a Learning Team. These groups will learn at a pace set by their ministry leader and can apply what they are learning in their specific ministry context, together.

  • Organization & Network Learning: Large numbers of learners across cities, states, and countries can encourage and inspire one another throughout the learning process, and then apply the Living Active Method in their many different ministry contexts. There is the potential opportunity for program customization and recurring platform access for these groups.

Abundant Resources

The Living Active Method journey includes numerous resources that your ministry staff and volunteers will find helpful. Every training video, reference handout, and poll question in the Living Active Method can be readily returned to later as well, should learners want to review material previously covered.

Once you have learned LAM, you can use the method with any Bible story without extra materials or guidance. However, as a courtesy and help to anyone who has completed the Living Active Method journey, Children in Christ offers access to our growing collection of Old and New Testament Living Active Method Bible stories.
